A simple explanation for a simple word game

SandLetters is a clue-and-spell word puzzle with twenty rounds. It works the same way for every visitor, regardless of who they are, which means there's very little reason for it to collect anything personal.

What happens as you play

You read a short clue, then tap shuffled letter tiles in order to spell the answer. Your progress through the twenty words and your running score live entirely inside your browser tab while you play.

Data involved

Your current word number and score exist only in your browser's active session memory. This build doesn't persist scores between visits, so nothing related to your performance is written to local storage or sent anywhere.

What we don't collect

No names, no emails, no location, no device fingerprinting. SandLetters has no sign-up flow and nowhere to type identifying information, because none of that is needed to solve a word puzzle.

Cookies and tracking

We don't set cookies and haven't integrated any third-party advertising or analytics tools. The clue list and letter-shuffling logic run entirely within your browser without contacting any external service during play.

Server logs

Like virtually any website, our hosting infrastructure keeps brief routine access logs to maintain security and uptime. These aren't used to build a profile of any individual visitor and are rotated out after a limited period.

Sharing

We have no arrangements to share data with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties, since there's essentially no personal data generated by playing SandLetters in the first place.

If this changes

Should a future version add persistent score tracking, it would be stored locally on your own device, and this notice would be updated first to explain exactly how that works.
